Well, the stars are falling into place! Jim and I drove to Kris' yesterday and Mom drove down from Wisconsin. Tomorrow we leave for Sverige! We are following the weather there and it is about thirty degrees cooler than what we are used to in southern Indiana and raining; so, into the luggage goes the umbrella and raincoat. Kris is on the computer looking up pronunciations of Swedish.
Tonight we had a nice dinner of herring, crackers, cheese and wine. Mom shared genealogy information that she received from a distant cousin, Jeff Hammerberg. We are reviewing our schedules and plans. Everyone is excited about this once in a lifetime trip. We hope that family and friends will vicariously experience this adventure. Kris just asked her daughter Camille how small she can make herself so that she could come along with us. I would say that the three of us feel the same way about each one of our family members. We would love it if everyone were going with us tomorrow. We promise to share pictures and stories with you.
you guys will have such a FANTASTIC time in sweden! how wonderful that the three of you are going to explore this beautiful place together; such a perfect mother-daughter-sister experience. we can't wait to see you in basel. :) i love you guys!
